Kate Irish extends her vision with 'Perspectives' a new collection of 16 works. Following the success of her first solo show 'Journeys' at Gallery Oscar in 2005, Kate has embarked on a voyage into perspective.
"I found that I was increasingly attracted to subject matter that would draw the viewer deeper into the composition," she says. "While a 'perspective' is typically thought of as a view or vista, for the artist it represents the technique of developing three-dimensional relationships on a two-dimensional surface."
Each of Kate's new works, then, issues an invitation to the viewer to follow the artist's vision deep into the picture.
